I am so happy to have met Dawn and her family with Shag Valley. Knowing someone who cares about their aninals and family the same way you would want to, makes them the top of the line for meat production. I live a couple of hours East, but will continue my business with them because I know the product and value is well worth it. The convenience, quantity, quality, and health benefits are not to go without mentioning-- having a stocked freezer full of your choice cuts, and never having to question "what's for dinner" makes being a working mom of 2 much easier!! We, personally, have enough space for roughly half a hog and quarter or third of beef at a time with our freezer in the garage. I would recommend splitting a beef or pork with a friend (unless you have the space for more) so you can choose your cuts and stock yourself with greatness for your summer bbqs, and winter stews!! And don't forget the extra parts, so you can make the most of your purchase- broth, marrow, and delicacies, oh my! 🙂 Can't wait for our next purchase.

We are so lucky in Grand Junction to have this wonderful local farm selling top quality meat and other products. The pork, beef, and goat meat are the best I’ve ever had, and I am so happy knowing the animals were raised in a healthy, ethical, and sustainable way. I encourage everyone to support local sustainable farming and buy from this wonderful farm.

We all love the elderberry syrup! Me and the kids take a "shot of whiskey" in the morning to get our day started!
